July Meeting

If you have been to our Country Store in the past, you know this is one of the most fun events of the season. It is a great opportunity for you to share your bounty with your fellow members. Bring items that you think other members would enjoy.

Here is how it works:

• Separate tables will be set up for each category (cacti, succulents and associated items); members will place their items on the corresponding table.

• Tickets will be available for purchase: 5 for $1, and you decide how many you would like to buy. These are two-part tickets: you keep one and put the other in a pot (more in a moment). Because the numbers can be hard to hear, please print your first name, last name, or initials on each ticket before placing in the pot.

• Now you get to choose where you want to deposit your tickets: put them into the pot at the table holding items you’d like to win.

• When the event begins, volunteers will be stationed at each table to pull a series of tickets out of the pots. This is where it’s beneficial to have your name printed on the ticket: it’s easier to read than the numbers. Those with the winning tickets from that table get to select an item from that table. This process continues from table to table until there are no more items or time runs out.
